New York Graduated Driver Licensing

Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) laws are one of the few things that have been proven to save teen lives. New York has its own variation of these laws that both you and your teen should be familiar with. You may want to discuss the New York GDL laws with your teen and use them as a foundation for rules you set for your teen driver.
